Welcome To My Blog About Bowenwork Therapy & MSRT
I’ve never done a blog before, but I thought I would try my hand and it. The complementary and western health care system of approach is changing so rapidly. We are all learning new things about the body and its many systems, particularly the Fascial Network, so fast, it’s next to impossible to keep up with it all. But, there is a general shift toward recognizing we must treat the body, the PERSON, as a WHOLE.
My goal with this blog is to share the experiences, comments, massive as well as subtle changes, I and my clients and friends, have had in applying the techniques that I have specialized training in, as well as comments on my colleague’s experiences as well.
The Goal Behind Blogging About Bowenwork
My intent is to educate the public on two very powerful techniques called Bowenwork® and McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release®. Bowenwork has been around for decades, yet even amongst bodywork therapists, it is still relatively unknown. Although it has been in development over the past ten years, McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release technique or MSTR®, on the other hand, is the new kid on the block, but make no mistake, it is making a SPLASH on the world scene!
Both of these techniques have the ability to facilitate the body’s ability to reset itself. Some of these “resets” are life-changing WOW moments, and many others are subtle changes in range of motion, stamina, mood, flexibility, etc…. these subtle changes may not seem life changing to most, but tell that to my 70-year-old, female client that after her very first Bowenwork session, the next morning she was able to bend down and feed her cat AND stand back up again without assistance or pain.
Is that life-changing?
Or what about my gentleman client, also in his 70’s, that had an extra finger removed at birth?
After five minutes of McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release, he was unable to visibly see the little round pad of scar tissue that had been with him all his life? Was it life changing for him to freely open and close that hand more fully than he had been able to in YEARS?
It’s things like this and why and how it happens, that I wish to share with the public, via this blog.
If you are interested in understanding how and why these two therapies are so efficient in creating change, click on the appropriate tab on my website www.IwantBowenWork.com and if you are a therapist interested in learning McLoughlin Scar Tissue Release Technique, you will find a link under the scars tab that will connect you to up-coming classes.
